OUR MISSION

At CYSA—formerly Toronto Hearts United FC (est. 2012)—we identify and develop Canada’s next generation of soccer stars through expert coaching, cutting-edge training methods, and a clear pathway to provincial, collegiate, and national teams. Our commitment extends beyond skill development; we also focus on fostering teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship, ensuring that young athletes not only excel on the field but also develop into well-rounded individuals off the field.

FAQs

  • Each age-group trains twice per week for 90 minutes, combining technical drills (ball mastery, passing, shooting) with small-sided games to reinforce tactics. Elite Pathway players add one weekend session focused on match analysis and strength & conditioning.

  • We assess each athlete at registration and place them in age-appropriate squads. Within those squads, we form tiered groups—from foundational to advanced—so every player trains with peers of similar ability, ensuring targeted development.

  • Yes. We run open “Talent ID” sessions monthly where new players can train, meet coaches, and experience our methodology. If there’s availability, we’ll place your child in the appropriate group; otherwise, we’ll reserve a spot for the next intake.

  • Our Elite Pathway participants showcase at regional and national tournaments, receive personalized performance reviews, and benefit from our broad scouting network. We prepare players for provincial squads, NCAA recruitment, and professional club trials.

  • Players should arrive with soccer cleats, shin guards, and a water bottle. Training balls, pinnies, and technical equipment are supplied. Specialty items—like GPS performance vests in Elite Pathway—are included in program fees.

  • All coaches are NCCP- and First Aid-certified. Sessions include thorough warm-ups, cooldowns, and on-site athletic therapy for injury prevention. We maintain strict COVID-safe protocols and a low coach-to-player ratio to monitor every athlete’s health.
